Key Stage 3

Music

In KS3, pupils will learn the fundamentals of music, including key terminology and beginning to use instruments. They’ll learn about a range of topics including Chinese music, British folk music, radio adverts, rap and hip-hop, ballet music, and lots more.

If pupils choose to study GCSE Music, they will build on the skills they learnt in KS3 and develop each of the key elements of music. They will explore more advanced skills in composition, performance, and music theory.
