Ofsted 2026
Our recent Ofsted inspection recognised the significant progress being made at St Joseph’s Catholic School and celebrated the strong culture that defines our community. Inspectors found that pupils are “safe and happy” within a “calm and purposeful atmosphere” with many describing the school as a family. The report highlights strengths including effective safeguarding, high-quality pastoral care, positive behaviour, strong pupil leadership, and excellent opportunities for personal development. It also acknowledges the positive impact of our ongoing improvement work, reflected in rising outcomes and stronger pupil achievement. While recognising that some initiatives are still being embedded, Ofsted confirms that our foundations are strong, our ambitions are clear, and our focus on academic rigour will continue to drive excellence for every pupil.
