Key Stage 3
English
As a subject, English encourages pupils to develop the ability to communicate clearly, accurately and effectively when writing and speaking whilst allowing them to broaden their vocabulary. They will explore a wide range of fiction and non-fiction texts from the 19th century to the present day, including works by Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Harper Lee, and more.
After their introduction to the subject in KS3, all pupils will study GCSE English Language and Literature in KS4.
