Friday 30th September saw the annual Macmillan cake sale. Macmillan are a fantastic charity and fully deserve the support of the school with their nurses offering support to cancer patients. With that in mind, the students and I am sure the parents, excelled themselves with their generosity towards the cause. By 8.15am the first cakes arrived in the food room and by the start of the school day the room was full of delicious homemade, and shop bought, cakes.
Break time came and the cakes went! The students were incredibly generous and a huge thanks must go to Mrs Prior, Miss Fawcett, and the students that offered their help. By the end of the time all the cakes had been sold and the shelves were bare. Fortunately the till was full and in total with the donations of the staff the school is in a positon to donate over £320 to this fantastic charity. I thank all those who helped and I can’t wait for next year’s event already!
