The catering department at St Joseph’s school offer a wide choice of meals, snacks and drinks to both pupils and staff.
Our current menus encompass the diversity of our students and offer the pupils and staff the opportunity to experience new foods be that cultural or modern recipes. Traditional favourites are also served alongside any new dish of the day.
Our focus is to offer our pupils a nutritionally balanced and varied meal during their day. There is a link between eating well at school and performing better in class. By offering youngsters the opportunity to start the day right, we offer a breakfast service for all our pupils.
Breakfast: Before the start of school we offer a selection of hot and cold items including our popular choice of a bacon sandwich; water, fruit juice, fresh fruit and yoghurt are always available.
Mid-Morning Break: We offer a wide selection of hot, handheld snack items, such as pain au chocolate and sausage rolls. In addition we offer fresh fruit, homemade cakes, biscuits and chilled drinks
Lunch: Offering a selection of freshly prepared nutritious main meals, sandwiches, baguettes and salads plus a selection of snacks.
We are aware of the risk of added salt and sugar and the detrimental effects a modern day diet could have on our health, so here at St Joseph’s we endeavor to keep the our homemade products as natural, wholesome and nutritious as possible and free from additives and preservatives
