Very early in the morning on Friday 4th April, a group of 42 pupils and 4 staff met at St. Josephs to begin an action-packed weekend in Paris. The journey there took most of the day and upon arrival, the pupils were whisked off for a tour of Château de Grande Romaine, our PGL accommodation.
The next morning, we set off for a day in Paris. First stop – la Tour Montparnasse, which is 210-metre (689 ft) tall and has some of the most beautiful views of Paris. Then on to lunch underneath the Eiffel Tower and a boat trip along the Seine. We also had time to visit the Montmartre area of Paris and the Sacre- Coeur.
Sunday morning was spent doing various activities on-site, including abseiling, archery, climbing and orienteering and in the afternoon we visited Château Vaux-le-Vicomte, before getting ready for the disco! Other evening activities included a scavenger hunt and crêpe making.
For many the highlight of the trip was going to Disneyland Paris and Space Mountain was definitely their favourite ride.
I would like to say thank you to all involved in making the trip a great success. The pupils were a real credit to themselves and the school and everyone had such a good time.
