Another successful year for the shoe box appeal

22nd November 2016 by Mrs Le Ray Latest News

We would like to thank Mrs Prior for her amazing efforts in organising this year’s shoe box appeal. This is an annual appeal that hopes to give a present to children in war torn and desperate environments. The appeal asks that people provide as many happy things for the children and place them in a shoe box that will be shipped to some of the loneliest and desperate young people in the world. There are videos that can be seen on line and the look of sheer joy on the children’s faces makes it worth all the effort.

We, as a school managed to raise a total of over 45 boxes and a bag of extras that just wouldn’t fit. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those families and individuals that were able to contribute, no matter how small the contribution! A special thank you goes to Mrs Cullis and her form 7T who produced 10 boxes between them.
