St Joseph’s Catholic School are incredibly proud of year 7 pupil Luke Passmore. On Saturday 15 November he took part in a music and arts festival that has been running for 68 years in Devizes, the Annual Junior Eisteddfod.
He has been learning to play the flute for 18 months and decided to enter the Woodwind Solo Grade 3&4 class for some experience. He was very nervous, enjoyed playing and was very surprised at how good everybody was.
The Adjudicator reported four participants had the top “outstanding” mark, and then announced Luke as the overall winner and presented him with his medal. He has since learned he has been invited to play in the Junior Concert later this month and been awarded the John Prosser Rose bowl for the best Woodwind Solo which will be presented at the concert.
